Padrón began in Miami in 1964, founded by José Orlando Padrón after his arrival from Cuba. The company’s account traces his tobacco background through generations of farming in Pinar del Río and his later work establishing a cigar business. The little hammer that helped him earn the initial $600 remains a family symbol. The company’s history connects Miami with Estelí, Nicaragua. Padrón describes a family-owned operation with control across the cigar-making process, from tobacco growing through production. Its collections distinguish themselves through named formats, tobacco-aging periods, wrapper selections and commemorations of company and family milestones. The original Padrón Series contains fifteen formats. Dámaso has a round construction and an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, including two Red Label cigars. The anniversary directory brings together 1964 Anniversary, 1926 Serie, Family Reserve, the 50th and 60th Anniversary cigars, and the Black special releases. These collections provide several different histories and construction identities within one manufacturer.
